    Description

    A set of six
    Stripe
pattern 8” plates made by Hocking, just a few years before it merged with Anchor and the two names were combined. These are pictured in a 1932 catalogue so they are true Depression Era Glass! The glass is crystal clear with a center textured starburst. The rest of the plate is completely smooth with two sets of bright red and white applied bands. There are a bit of minor utensil marks, a slight loss of red on the edge of some of the the plates and, on only one of the six, a very small chip on the reverse. Please look at the last two photos to see this little nip indicated by an arrow.
Otherwise, for being nearly 90 years old, these salad, bread or dessert plates are in wonderful condition. This set is heavy - 5 lbs before packing - so feel free to message me with your zip code for an accurate shipping cost.
