    Description

    Here for your consideration is a Emile Galled frosted glass miniature cameo vase.  Features amethyst colored leaves and vines and measures in at approximately 6 3/4 inches in height by 3 1/4 inches wide at it widest point by 2 5/8 inches from front to back (also at widest point).  Dates to the late 19th to early 20th century.  No chips or cracks.  Dates Please review the photos carefully as they are an important part of the description and ask questions

    About the artist:  Emile Galle (1846 - 1904) is an industrialist, master glassmaker, cabinetmaker and ceramist.  He is founder of first president of the School of Nancy in 1901.  One of the most outstanding figures of the applied arts of his time and one of the pioneers of the Art Nouveau period.
